The first of 2012’s quarterly updates to the Gartner Worldwide IT Spending Forecast will assess the prospects for growth in IT spending not only in the short term but also through 2016. The presentation will outline our current thinking about the effect on IT spending of the ongoing Eurozone crisis and its impact on the global macroeconomic outlook, as well as giving a status report on important industry events, such as the HDD shortage caused by the recent floods in Thailand. We’ll provide our insight into 2012 IT budgets and spending priorities as businesses grapple with controlling costs on the one hand while positioning for growth on the other, and we’ll take a look at how the latest consumer spending trends are shaping demand for IT products. The presenters will also identify the key trends in IT share their assumptions about how these trends will influence IT investment over the longer term.
Join us to hear our latest thinking on IT spending growth through 2016, which will also include a special update on a topic of current interest.
